Ayurveda Workshop, Dec. 5

Cozy up this winter season and support your body and mind with Ayurveda and Yoga.

Ayurveda, also known as “The Science of Life,” is a system of natural healing and method of living in harmony with Mother Nature practiced for over 5,000 years. As a sister science to Yoga, together they form a holistic approach to self-care.

Winter is a cold, wet, and windy season that increases the elements of Kapha (water and earth) and Vata (air and space) in and around us. In this workshop, you will learn ways to mitigate this seasonal shift to stay warm, grounded, and relaxed, including:
• Basic principles of Ayurveda for living a balanced life in sync with the rhythms of nature.
• How to create a daily and seasonal routine for winter wellness, including diet and self-care practices.
• How to assess your unique Ayurvedic constitution (Dosha Prakriti) / mind-body type.
• The most beneficial Asanas (yoga poses) and Pranayama (breathing techniques) to help you during the cold, dry winter season.
• The grounding relaxation of Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep).

This workshop is open to all; no previous Ayurvedic knowledge or yoga experience is necessary.
