Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage, also known as Classic Massage, is the most well-known form of massage practiced. Swedish Massage uses mild to medium pressure and 5 main stroke styles: sliding or gliding, kneading, rhythmic tapping, friction, and vibration. This form of massage helps achieve relaxation, reduce stress, improve circulation and flexibility, decrease muscle toxins, and offers relief from chronic pain.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage but with greater amounts of pressure applied while working on the deepest layers of muscle tissue to relieve chronic muscle pain and tension. This type of massage has been shown to help reduce high blood pressure and stress hormone levels while releasing oxytocin and serotonin (mood-boosting hormones).

Myofascial Release Massage

Myofascial Release Massage is based on the concept that stress and tension are stored in muscles and connective tissue causing them to become stiff and locked, resulting in discomfort and pain. Myofascial Release Massage uses stretches to open the muscles and connective tissues that are holding the stress and unlock the pain and discomfort. This type of massage focuses deeply on ligature as well as muscles and the stretches can be intense. Myofascial Release Massage is often used to help people with fibromyalgia, back pain and other muscle associated health issues as well as to treat pains of a different kind, including those associated with chronic fatigue, severe tension, and anxiety. It has even been used as therapy for repetitive stress injuries of the muscular-skeletal system.

Normal fascia is in a relaxed and wavy state. When there is tension in the fascia, it starts to lose its pliability, becomes tight, and is a source of tension for the rest of the body. The restrictions can cause intense pain and limited ROM by limiting flexibility, stability, and the sense of a “space freedom” state in the body.

Hot Stone Massage

By placing smooth, water-heated stones at key points on the body, Hot Stone Massage creates deep muscle relaxation making it possible to reach deeper layers of muscle while expanding blood vessels for improved circulation. This type of massage has been shown to reduce chronic pain, muscle spasms, stress, and tension, as well as improve metabolism, increase flexibility in joints, and help mobility and movement. The sedative effect of Hot Stone Massage has proven to be beneficial for those with chronic pain from fibromyalgia, arthritis, and sports injuries.

Chair Massage

​Relieve muscular pain and tension, reduce fatigue, lower anxiety, boost immunity, and improve memory and creative thinking. Chair massage treats the most common areas of tension and stress, and provides many of same benefits as other forms of massage, but can be done from the convenience of a massage chair at our studio or your location.
