Spring fever amplified this year? It’s not uncommon to feel restless as the winter months begin coming to an end, but when an entire year has kept us homebound, many are now feeling more anxious and stressed than usual. While online shopping or self-medicating with food or alcohol may be the more tempting thing to do, it’s time to close some apps, put down the cookies, and start spring cleaning!

1. Drink a lot of fluids. Drinking water helps the kidneys to expel toxins from the body, and staying hydrated is a great way to increase energy.

2. Eat more greens. Dark leafy greens, like kale, spinach, swiss chard, collard greens, and bok choy, are full of antioxidants, and vitamin K contents provide several health benefits, including prevention of inflammatory diseases.

3. Get a massage! Massage helps get blood circulating, which aids in the detoxification process.

4. Practice yoga. Yoga is more than a great outlet for pent-up energy. Twisting poses help energize the spine and stimulate the organs and digestion, thus detoxifying the body. 

5. Declutter home and workspaces. Getting rid of clutter is the first step toward clearing the clutter and junk from the mind and body. You are way more likely to feel great and start eating great when living in a clean space, clear from negative energies.
