Dwelling on a past relationship?
Can’t let go of a grudge?
Experiencing trust issues?
Bottled up emotions?
Avoiding deep relationships?
Holding onto past hurts?
Feeling stressed or anxious?
Pushing away others?
Can’t stop putting yourself last?
If you said yes to any of the above, this month is the perfect time to unblock your heart chakra.
As the fourth of the seven chakras, the heart chakra is particularly special because it unifies the physical, lower three chakras with the spiritual, upper three chakras.
The heart chakra, located at the center spine at heart level, acts as the center of compassion, empathy, love, and forgiveness. It governs your sense of trust, fearlessness, peace, generosity, gratitude, and connectedness, as well as change and transformation, healthy boundaries, depth in relationships with others, emotional control, and self-love.
When the heart chakra is blocked or misaligned, one might feel emotionally cold, brokenhearted, lonely, insecure, hypersensitive, detached or distanced from others, irritable, or resentful. Activities such as yoga and meditation are great ways to jumpstart the healing of this chakra and set the foundation for continuing these activities and regularly engaging in behaviors that spark love, passion, joy, and gratitude.
